Language and information engineering

Objectives

Research and development of technologies and models for processing written language, presentation of different alphabets within information and communication systems and integration of these systems into variety of telematic application area such as Directory services, WHOIS, GOPHER, E-MAIL etc.

Areas of activity

• general model and software library for coded character sets conversion, transformation and transliteration
• internationalisation of the generic network services
• internationalisation of World Wide Web Service

Results

Most of the results of the research and development work have appeared in many conference papers and scientific journals in the field. Some of the relevant operational results are:
