Query Interface to the CA-Browser

The CA Browsing System (CA Browser) is intended as a help to end users and to the application processes in the automatic search of paths of certificate assignments that are needed for verifying someone's public key. You will be prompted to select the names of two certification authorities that represent the issuer of the first and the owner of the last certificate in the certification path, and the number of paths you would like to find. When the system finds several valid shortest paths, it displays them as a list of certification authorities. You can also display the certificates that form the paths. At this time, the system knows certification authorities that have valid certificates stored in the X.500 directory. The CA Browser is briefly described in the paper A Tool for Support of Key Distribution and Validity Certificate Check in Global Directory Service.
